Just as we've finished talking about the updated version of one Mac OS X application (Cheetah3d 4.5.1), I stumbled upon another updated piece of software: ReceiptWallet. GGT Enterprises is now offering version 2.0 of its receipt and document management application for Mac OS X.

ReceiptWallet allows you to scan in and manage your receipts and documents. As soon as you enter a few pieces of information about it, you can immediately locate your receipts and documents after scanning them.

Users can either view the receipts right on the screen, print them, email them, or save them as PDFs, while its built-in search feature can help you organize your receipts and documents into collections/libraries, which can contain whatever you want, all this while you can even create "smart" collections that automatically create collections based on criteria.

New features with ReceiptWallet 2.0 include cataloging non-receipt documents, an updated interface, on-the-road document scanning via Apple's iSight camera with the upper-mentioned ability to organize documents and receipts into multiple libraries. This is where the DocumentWallet feature comes in. It allows users to create multiple libraries for both receipts and documents with users being able to have one library for business receipts and another for personal/home receipts.

ReceiptWallet 2.0 is compatible with TWAIN scanners and works best with Fujitsu ScanSnap.

You can grab ReceiptWallet 2.0 right now for 39.95 $, or if you want to hold on to your cash for the moment, you could try out this free demo version right HERE (21-day free trial). Owners of ReceiptWallet 1. or DocumentWallet 1. can get version 2.0 of ReceiptWallet for free.

Note that installing ReceiptWallet 2.0 replaces your current version of DocumentWallet. The universal application is both Intel and PowerPC compatible as long as you're running Mac OS X 10.4.11 or a later version.
