South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics announced last month the release of its first tablet PC to run under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and the slate is already available for pre-order in the United States via Best Buy. Moreover, the retailer also made available the Huawei Ideos 7" Tablet S7 in White.

Sprint and Verizon are two of the US carriers which already announced plans to make the new Android slate available for their devices, and those users interested in the device can now head over to Best Buy to reserve one in advance.

The price tag for Galaxy Tab was set at $599.99, Best Buy shows on its website. This is the same price Verizon announced for the slate, but is $200 higher than what Sprint say it would ask for it.

For those who might not know, we should note that Verizon is set to make the Android tablet PC available for purchase on its airwaves on November 11th, while Sprint announced that it would make a similar move on November 14th.

The slate comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, complemented by a 1GHz application processor, 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The specs list for the device also includes a 3.0-megapixel photo snapper on the back, complemented by a 1.3 camera on the front for video calling.

At the same time, the device sports HD video playback and Web browsing capabilities, Adobe Flash 10.1 support, a Kindle eReader application, and a 4,000 mAh battery.

Those who are interested in pre-ordering the Android tablet PC from Best Buy should head over to the retailer's website here and here, for the Sprint and Verizon versions, respectively.

As for the Huawei Ideos 7" Tablet S7, we should note that it runs under Google's Android 2.1 operating system, while offering support for up to 8GB storage space with the microSD card slot, and a 2.0MP camera.

The device is available for pre-order at Best Buy with a price tag of $299.99 attached to it, and can be seen on retailer's website
