Best Buy Mobile has had a quite interesting promotion available in the United States market during the month of October last year, with various handsets available for purchase for free on contract with wireless carriers in the country, and plans on bringing the deal to Canada as well.

According to the retailer, the Free Phone Fridays promotion was successful in the US, and might be the same in Canada too, when kicking off in February this year.

The Free Phone Fridays promotion will be available at all of the company's stores across Canada, and should start on February 4, continuing every Friday of the month. The company also announced that it would have two to three free mobile phones available for customers.

“Each week will feature at least one high-end, in-demand smart phone for free with a new, in-store three-year activation. Reward Zone members will receive 2,500 points for every new, in-store activation or renewal,” the company announced.

At the same time, the leading retailer announced officially that the free phones would be announced on Thursday via the company's Facebook and Twitter accounts. The free handsets would require the signing of a contract agreement with a wireless carrier in the country.

Best Buy Mobile is already a leading destination for people interested in the purchase of a new smartphone and accessories, the company notes.

The retailer offers to its customers a series of services that should provide users with an improved phone buying experience:

Upgrade Checker: A quick and easy service that gives customers the ability to see when they are eligible for their next phone upgrade. Best Buy Mobile Specialists can review customers' current plan to determine which upgrade options they are eligible for and can help customers change plans or providers if they are unhappy with their current carrier plan.

Walk Out Working: Free in-store smart phone setup by a Best Buy Mobile Specialist who will sync personal email accounts, set up Bluetooth headsets, transfer contacts and activate other services to allow the customer to leave the store with a fully functional new smart phone.
