A report shows that the entire Best Buy launch plan for the iPhone 4 has been leaked online, complete with imagery and relevant observations, including the fact that Best Buy isn't going to have iPhones for everyone on launch day. The plan was provided to iClarified with a post on HowardForums failing due to PhotoBucket issues, the former reveals.

In the leaked document, Best Buy outlines stuff like employee no-nos, staffer purchases, SKUs and pricing, data-plan requirements, iPhone rate plans, information on the Micro SIM, passing along an old iPhone, early-termination fees, comparisons between the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, as well as between the iPhone 4 and top devices from Verizon and Sprint, training resources, pre-sales, launch-day plan, accessories, trade-ins, returns and exchanges, inventory and loss prevention, services, merchandising and marketing, etc., according to iClarified.

The report points out to Best Buy’s plans to offer pre-sales on the launch day (June 24) to those waiting in line at the company’s retail establishments. According to the leaked document, Best Buy tells staffers that, “Since inventory availability is expected to be minimal, stores may open up a limited time pre-sale window as an option for customers on launch day who have not previously pre-purchased.” The giant retailer claims that pre-sales may only occur up to 11:00 am local time, and that customers who pre-purchase on launch day will be added to the store's pre-sale cue based on time of pre-sale and will get their pre-sale fulfilled in priority order. Additionally, employees are not allowed to provide customers with timing details on when a device may be available. This only applies to those who pre-purchase on launch day, according to the report in question.

Best Buy announced last week that those who placed an early pre-order for Apple’s iPhone 4 had a fairly strong chance of getting the phone on launch day. Customers were told at the time that Best Buy would contact them a few days before launch to schedule an appointment. “We will have a better understanding of what inventory we can expect to receive from Apple for launch day around the 22nd or 23rd,” Jacob-BBY, Best Buy community connector, wrote at the time. “So, I encourage everyone to wait until you hear from your store before making assumptions,” the Best Buy staffer wrote in a forum post.
