Gameloft has closed an agreement with Paramount Pictures for developing a mobile game based on the film "Beowulf". It is not an unusual scenery, as this thing usually happens with most successful media concepts.

The mobile game version is not the only form that "Beowulf" will take. The movie's concept will also support a video game coming from Ubisoft. It looks like producers have taken little time in choosing markets and jumped at bringing the movie's name on as many as possible. If it proves successful, profits might event turn out to be higher than those received from the game, as it usually happens with game concepts launched on alternative markets.

"Beowulf is not only one of the greatest legends, but now it will be brought to the silver screen and we're excited to work on the mobile game adaptation", said Michel Guillemot, president at Gameloft. Not only that, but "This is the third project that we have undertaken with Paramount Pictures, so we've established a real foundation to work well together. We're currently working on developing gameplay to capture the essence of the film and break new ground with fans and mobile gamers alike", he further added.

The movie is starting to make a name for itself. There is still some time left until its launch, in November, which leaves a great amount of liberty for developers to build a successful promoting campaign for it.

Paramount Digital has shown the same amount of satisfaction with this new deal. It is only natural, as this sets their production in line with some of the most successful ones that deserved enough attention throughout time.

The mobile game "Beowulf" will be released at the same time with the movie, in November, 2007. More information will be available at that time.
