Although it hasn't released any mobile phones lately, BenQ hasn't completely stopped its activity in Taiwan and is planning to launch a special edition of their BenQ Siemens Q-fi EF71.

When creating this phone, Benq Siemens didn't compromise at all on the design, managing to combine stylish looks with nice music dedicated features.

As a result, the mobile phone won the prestigious iF-award in 2006. The pink special edition EF71 is just as good looking as the original, but will most likely target female users.

Despite the color change, the features of the music phone are the same; which means that it still features the 2.2 inch 262k color screen and 2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities as well as web cam functionality when connected to a PC through a USB cable.

Most of all it is a phone dedicated to music enthusiasts and sports all the necessary features for an enjoyable music listening experience. The phone supports most audio file formats including MP3, WMA or AAC, includes a 10-band equalizer and a MicroSD card slot that will allow the storage of quite a few tracks.

Thanks to the camera's night mode, the user will also be able to take high-quality pictures even in low light conditions. Dissapointingly, the special edition Benq Siemens EF71 in pink be available only in Taiwan and, as if that weren't enough, it will also be limited to 500 units.
