Real-world game tests might not corroborate this, but it's nice to dream

The GeForce GTX 780 Ti is supposed to be NVIDIA's Answer to AMD's Radeon R9 290X and 290 graphics cards. We now have some benchmark results to share.

Said results (VideoCardz) come from a user on the XtremeSystems Forums and show the scores achieved in 3DMark 11 by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan, AMD Radeon R9 290X, and AMD GeForce GTX 780 Ti.

R9 290X is just a small bit behind Titan, but GTX 780 Ti apparently outdoes it, and by almost 300 points. That's an advantage of about 5%.

Still unclear is the price of the newcomer. NVIDIA could go with the $1,000 / €1,000, or it could choose $650 / €650 (the price of the GTX 780).

Since AMD sells the Radeon R9 290X for $550 / €550, the latter might be it, since the difference in price would be enough to offset the performance advantage otherwise.
