Another mobile phone has been presented at this year's edition of Computex. This time, we are talking about BenQ T80, a rather common slider phone with some unusual features.

It seems that the intention of those who unveiled it was to preserve some mystery on this handset, as they have not revealed all features that it comes with. One thing that is nevertheless obvious is its design, although the exact measurements have not been specified yet. All in all, it looks rather bulky and unattractive at first sight, with its rounded corners and almost oval shape.

Still, once it slides, BenQ T80 reveals an interesting looking keypad with buttons which are little defined. Actually, the laser-etched keypad is quite similar to that found in the Motorola RAZR cellphone, which does not flatter this phone's originality at all. That's interesting, although not enough to compensate for glossy and bulky design which will easily show any scratches or fingerprints on it.

BenQ T80 will come equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) capability. Moreover, it will have Windows Mobile 6 installed, which places this handset among the most evolved mobile devices. It also has 64MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM, together with a 260Mhz processor, which will make it quite responsive to the user's commands. Just to make sure that the user will not be constrained by data storage space, BenQ T80 also comes with a microSD expansion slot.

The display screen may not be among the largest, at its 2.2 inch, although it has high chances of being just enough for most of the user's needs. The digital camera is of 2 megapixel resolution, which seems to be the standard performance coming from the latest mobile devices.

BenQ T80 will be available starting with the second quarter of this year, which means that it should have been available until now. The estimate price that this handset will be available for is of USD 350.
