BenQ just made the official announcement of a second-generation Joybee projector, the Joybee GP2 which has some enhancements over the GP1.

The new projector has a maximum resolution of 720p and a brightness of 200 lumens, plus support for many file formats.

This lets it transfer documents, pictures and videos (though only in FLV, peculiarly enough) and project them without a connection.

Such devices can't usually work on their own, but BenQ gave the new Joybee 2 GB of storage space, so that it may be loaded with whatever users need on a particular occasion.

Other specifications include a pair of 2W speakers, a maximum image size of 160 inches and an optional battery (lasts for up top three hours of video playback).

People interested can find it up for order on Amazon, for $549 (406 Euro). As for the official web page, it is here.
