It's pretty safe to say that most mobile phones are made out of plastic, with some having added materials such as metal.

In any case, plastic is generally a material that you get to see a lot when it comes to mobile phones, maybe because it keeps the handsets light and it's not very costly either.

The Bellperre brand is now coming up with a product that is meant to be the exception to the rule, a handset that doesn't contain any plastic at all.

Bellperre's phones will be made from anything you can think of (except plastic), like leather, gold, sapphire, steel, hardwood and others.

Also, according to the manufacturing company, this will not affect the weight of the handset, thus it will not make it heavy and inconvenient to carry around.

There will be a wide range of colors and materials one can choose from, ensuring that the user gets a handset that best suits his/her needs, lifestyle or gender. From classic calfskin or real reptiles to fashion prints and metallic leather, there's bound to be a phone that one likes from the several presented by Bellperre.

Needless to say, this is a luxury mobile phone we are talking about, and Bellperre has used the largest piece of sapphire crystal to ever be found in a handset. Sapphire glass (that can also be found in Vertus and other luxury mobiles) is known for its scratch resistance. The company will be presenting its brand new handsets at CEBIT, and all the information regarding availability or price, so far unknown, should be revealed after the presentation.
