Getting involved in fights against difficult problems such as deadly diseases seems to have become a positive trend in the entertainment world, where celebrities use their image to raise funds for different foundations. However, the trend was pretty unknown to the gadget accessories manufacturers world until now.

Belkin International, Inc. recently announced their way of participating to the global movement against breast cancer initiated by the Komen for the Cure organization. The company will produce and sell two accessories for the iPod nano: the pink Sport Armband and the pink "Hope" Remix Metal. 10 percent of the profit made from the selling of these products will go to help the funding of breast cancer research at the Komen for the Cure. The minimum donation promised by Belkin is $100,000.

The "Hope" Remix Metal is a special pink iPod Nano case made from "clear acrylic and brushed metal". The pink case also features a soft-touch protector for the click-wheel (evidently, designed for very "soft" ladies). The "Hope" Remix Metal is priced at $29.99, from which $3 will be donated.

Since sports have proven to be a quite efficient means of fighting against breast cancer, Belkin created "a little something" for all the sporty ladies out there. The pink Sport Armband is hand-washable and water-resistant (could it have been washable without being water-resistant?!). It features a special place for your iPod, offering easy access to the gadget's controls. It is priced at $24.99 (including the $3 for cancer research). Both the pink case and the armband from Belkin are available at Best Buy.
