Factory-overclocked video cards are a common sight, so I didn't exactly bat an eye to the newest one that Micro-Star International revealed.
Long story short, it is a faster and better-cooled version of the Radeon HD 7790 from Advanced Micro Devices. And it has a stronger PCB too.
The MSI R7790-2GD5/OC, more commonly Radeon HD 7790 2 GB OC, runs the Bonaire graphics processing unit (896 Stream Processors, 128-bit memory interface) at 1050 MHz (reference is 1,000 MHz) and the memory at 6 GHz.
For connectivity, the regular HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI outputs are available.
Sadly, availability and pricing remain a mystery. Given the use of SFC chokes and other stability-enhancing PCB components, the tag will be a bit above the normal $145 / €111.15–145 that the original seems to be shipping for.
