Sadly, it could take a while to actually fill up those 8/16/32 GB on USB 2.0

You'd think that no one would bother launching USB 2.0 external storage devices at this point, but you'd be wrong. HP's new flash drive definitely lacks USB 3.0 support.

Well, it's not HP's drive, exactly, but one that bears its name. It was made by HP's business partner PNY Technologies.

Called HP v234r, it boasts 8 to 32 GB of storage space and, because of USB 2.0, transfer speeds of only 14 MB/s when reading and 4 MB/s when writing.

At least the look is relatively nice, although the red might be somewhat jarring to some. Then again, customers may just as easily love it, even if it doesn't exactly mirror the color themes of Apple Mac devices or most Windows systems.

Speaking of which, whenever you're not hanging the thing off your keychain or something, the capless drive can connect to any device or computer running Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8 or Mac OS 10.3 or higher. Sadly, prices are unknown.
