14 DAY TRIAL // Not too long ago, the owner of a fast-food stall decided to hire a beefed-up male model and have him spend his entire workday flipping burgers and selling them to hungry folks stopping to eat at this establishment.
Not at all surprisingly, the Chinese fast-food stall is now insanely popular among hamburger enthusiasts. Granted, its clientèle chiefly comprises women, but, as long as money keeps pouring in, there is nothing to worry about.
In a recent interview with the press, the fast-food stall's owner, identified as Wang Meng, has admitted that it's women that mostly visit the stall. “I would say that 90% of our visitors now buying up the fast food are women,” he says, as cited by Oddity Central.
“I don't even know how much any them have to eat, but they certainly spend plenty of time at the counter deciding what it is they want to order,” he goes on to explain. One can only assume that the ladies take this long to decide because they are constantly getting distracted.
Shortly after this fast-food stall in the city of Shenyang in China employed the beefed-up male model as a professional hamburgers flipper, the owners of nearby establishments of this kind accused Wang Meng of being utterly and completely immoral.
More precisely, they argued that hiring the male model to flip burgers and serve them to the ladies counted as unfair competition, and demanded that Wang Meng ask the model to wear a shirt while at work. The fast-food stall's owner simply said “no” to these requests.
“My competitors accuse me of unfair competition and one told me I should get him to keep his shirt on as it was distasteful, but I told them that I felt sorry for poor John, working next to a grill all day long, and explained that he needs to keep cool somehow so I allowed him to work topless,” Wang Meng says.
In case anyone was wondering, it looks like the male model now earning a living flipping burgers in the city of Shenyang goes by the name of John. He does not speak Chinese, and word has it that he is by no means what some would call an excellent cook.
Then again, chances are that most of the folks who visit Wang Meng's fast-food stall on a regular basis are not as preoccupied with satisfying their hunger as they are with watching John show off his burgers flipping skills. Whether or not the burgers are good to eat is another story.
