Although its fan base is slowly eroded by gaming consoles, PC gaming is still pretty popular and this is the reason why quite a large number of manufacturers keep rolling out new and improved peripherals that will allow avid gamers to take their skills to a whole new level. And that's exactly the case with Belkin's n52te, a hybrid gaming keyboard that can prove to be especially proficient in the field of computer gaming.

The device, a result of the collaboration between Belkin and the renowned gaming peripheral manufacturer Razer (which provided the advanced software) provides a set of very useful features, that will most likely come in handy while playing RTS, MMORPG and FPS games.

Thus, the n52te features a backlit keypad and scroll wheel for total control in dark conditions, an enhanced tactile feedback and button responsiveness for rapid key presses, 15 fully programmable keys built for speed as well as an adjustable soft-touch wrist pad for maximum comfort and endurance and programmable 8-way thumb pad with removable joystick.

Furthermore, the Razer software mentioned earlier adds up some pretty cool features, including personalization of multiple player profiles, the Razer Synapse onboard memory that enables plug-and-play versatility with no additional software installation and customization tools for intuitive setup and performance.

Here's what Chris McGugan, Vice President of Product Management, Belkin International, had to say about the company's latest gaming-related product: "It's been four years since we last visited the gaming arena, when we launched the n52. But now Belkin is back with an even better, stronger, and deadlier SpeedPad. We've partnered with Razer, whose significant knowledge and expertise in gaming make them an ideal partner to further enhance our n52, and we are confident the n52te, with its backlit keys, multiple player profiles, and enhanced tactile feedback, will be a hit among gamers, bringing their gaming abilities to a new level of competition."

The n52te will retail for around $69.99 (or 69 Euro or 99 Australian dollars), which makes it a rather accessible peripheral, taking into account the relatively large number of features this thing has to offer.
