In the last days of 2009, V Magazine made the bold announcement that, with its upcoming issue, it would completely revolutionize the concept of female beauty by showing that it can come in all shapes and sizes. Though the issue in question is not out just yet, part of the spread that will be included in it has found its way online, as My Fashion Life reports.

Not only does the campaign include one of the highest earning (if not actually the highest earning) plus-size model on the scene right now, Crystal Renn, but it will also feature the names most prominent in the industry at this moment. That and, of course, plenty of fashion and glamour, all of which will ultimately work out in such a way as to prove the entire world that, where beauty is concerned, there truly should be no boundaries and standards to abide by.

“Proving there’s plenty of room in the fashion industry for girls who aren’t afraid to eat at Christmas, V magazine, along with fashion’s favorite plus-size models, is spreading the love a little further in January’s size issue. The most prestigious names in the plus-size game have come together for the spread titled ‘Curves Ahead,’ which features the likes of Candice Huffine, Marquita Pring, Michelle Olson, Tara Lynn and Kasia P looking cool and comfortable in their own skin (literally),” My Fashion Life writes.

Though many photos are clear glamour shots, with the girls decked from head to toe in designer gear, from shoes to accessories like earrings and bracelets and, of course, swimming suits and dresses, the pics that will deliver the above message take no designer into account. And that happens because, as some of you might have already guessed, they show the girls in nothing but bright red lipstick or, at best, a pair of sky-high pumps.

“Notable Norwegian fashion photographer Solve Sundsbo shot the buxom beauties baring all, but no fashion shoot is complete without oodles of designer gear, for which Nicola Formichetti was on hand with some savvy styling. ‘I loved the opportunity to show that you can be big and beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us,’ Sundsbo said after the shoot. The size issue of V magazine hits news stands on January 14th,” the aforementioned e-zine goes on to say.
