14 DAY TRIAL // Nephirite and another un-named case have been present at Computex DeepCool stand turning the heads of all visitors passing by.
The first that caught the attention of Tomshardware's photograph was a mysterious square-ish case based on a Mini-ITX platform separated in multiple chambers, with the one on top accepting the motherboard and the graphics card, and the bottom one receiving the PSU and the storage device.
Made to impress visitors with your graphics card, the device is placed in one ot the corners enveloped in an acrylic material being completely visible to anyone who gazes at your object of pride.
RGB-LED lighting is present so that it can contrast with the black material of the case, perfect for putting a neon lights show for your friends. Measuring 334 x 240 x 264 mm, it will go fine with a 120mm liquid CPU coolers, and graphics cards that are limited to 300mm long. It can also accept full-size ATX PSUs, two 3.5" drives and 2.5" SSDs.
Beautiful through transparency
The other wonder case, the Nephrite offers another version of the Mini-ITX design, that removes windows and turns the entire top compartment in acrylic to show the massive graphics card inside. Materials used are steel for the chassis together with plastic for side-panels, being manufactured to fit perfectly with one another imitating the carbon finish.
The bowels of this thing will allow a graphics card 30 cm long, a single 3.5" drive, two 2.5" SSDs, a 120mm cooling fan and an SFX PSU. If this seems little to you keep in mind that it's a 330 x 428 mm enclosure and is only 10cm wide.
According to Tomshardware, these prototypes came not only un-announced, but they were hastily made right before the show. That's not said in a bad way, as the build quality is quite amazing for a case designed and built in a few days.
Although worthy and impressive designs, it's hard not to think at In-Win's crazy H-Tower concept PC transformer case.
