They are made for high-performance systems, like those of gamers

It's one thing to buy a power supply with a wattage high enough to handle gaming systems, and another thing to buy a PSU specifically made for gaming systems.

True, one might say there isn't any difference, but that wouldn't be totally accurate. Gaming PSUs have certain extra perks, like stronger capacitors and chokes, better efficiency, maybe an aesthetic highlight or too.

Be quiet! Has just released such a line of modular PSUs, called Power Zone, like that long lost program on a certain cartoon TV channel.

Power Zone units have 90% efficiency, earning them 80 Plus Bronze certification, thanks to active clamp + DC/DC topology. A SilentWings fan of 135 mm cools each model.

Speaking of models, there are four: 650 W (€150 / $115), 750 W (€125 / $135) and 850 W (€149 / $159) and 1,000 W (€169 / $189).

Quite low prices, all things considered, especially when factoring in the Cool Off feature, which forces the fan to spin for 3 more minutes after power shutdown. Sales will start around mid-September.
