Feral Interactive has confirmed Battlestations: Midway is due out for the Mac on June 27th, 2008 (that's next month!). The WWII-themed title is heralded as Eidos' top-rated action strategy game for the Mac. Quite frankly, there aren't that many to go around, so who's to disagree?

Feral says the full version hitting Macs in late June is going to pack around 60 war machines including bombers, battleships, destroyers, carriers, planes and submarines. Did you take a look at the screenshots? This game seems absolutely awesome! Plus, by the looks of it, you should prepare for a totally new combat experience - air, sea and undersea battles, all in the Pacific theater of WWII! This game we gotta see when it comes out.

Battlestations Midway has been developed by Eidos Studios Hungary, as a blend of action and strategy, featuring memorable battles, from Pearl Harbor to the Battle of Midway itself.

"Battlestations: Midway offers a compelling experience," said Feral Interactive's David Stephen. "It's an unusual mix of action and strategy with a sophisticated multiplayer mode, and we are confident that the Mac audience will find it an excitingly different take on World War II gaming."

"We are delighted to have Feral bring Battlestations: Midway to the Mac platform," said Trevor Burrows, Brand Manager, Eidos. "It's a game that delivers a new type of game play experience, and one that deserves to be seen and played by as wide an audience as possible."

Feral says that once the full game is out for Mac, you'll be able to grab your own copy for $49.95 in the US and for ?29.99 (inc VAT) in the UK. Gamers throughout the rest of Europe will have to fork out for 39.95 Euros to enjoy every aspect of WWII, from aerial dogfights to ocean assaults and submarine sabotage, right on their Macs, with bleeding-edge graphics.

Pre-orders are available from Feral's online store. You will need a minimum 1.83GHz Intel-based Mac, with 512MB RAM, a 128MB graphics card and Mac OS X v10.4 (Leopard) or later installed on it to play the game.
