DICE is announcing having released the long named Battlefield: Bad Company Community Choice Pack on Xbox Live. The pack is free to download and is basically made up of four single player maps that have been adapted by the company to be playable in multiplayer.

Two of the maps themselves were picked through a vote of the people that actually play Battlefield: Bad Company online and the maps are the very interesting Par For the Course and Acta Non Verba. DICE reserved the right to also pick two maps for single players and also adapted Crossing Over and Ghost Town so that multiplayer matches scale to the map.

Battlefield: Bad Company was released by Electronic Arts and DICE during summer and became a somewhat unlikely hit. After all, DICE was well known for creating compelling and complex multiplayer experiences in its Battlefield series and Bad Company offered a cool single player campaign, which, although a bit short, was action packed and allowed the player to destroy almost every piece of scenery he came across. The humor that the game presented and the frantic gold related multiplayer also helped Bad Company get a good grade in our review.

DICE is now getting ready to launch another project which is very different from what they have been creating. Mirror's Edge is a non-shooter, a game that aims to make the player avoid confrontation while allowing him to run away from threats he cannot disarm. The player will take on the role of Faith, a runner who transports sensitive information in a futuristic city dominated by government surveillance. Running on rooftops and jumping from ledge to ledge are the main mechanics of the game and the demo, which is available on the Xbox 360 and on the PlayStation 3, shows a very interesting experience.
