Gamers will have ten episodes to explore it

Battlefield Hardline is just a few days away from its launch date and after focusing on the multiplayer modes included in the title for a while, the development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts are ready to deliver a new look at the single-player world gamers will have to explore in the ten-episode-long campaign.

The two companies are saying that the universe they are creating is designed to offer more than a classic shooting gallery, with characters that are believable and locations that are interesting to move through and explore.

Visceral Games states, "When you’re on the beat as Miami detective Nick Mendoza you’ll come across all kinds of crooks - anything from simple henchmen to criminal masterminds. They’re all quite chatty, something you’ll notice if you take the time to eavesdrop while stealthing, or using your Scanner gadget from a distance."

The development team says that its writers were inspired by the most important TV shows of the era when working on Battlefield Hardline and that the voice cast was specially selected to give life to the characters.

The campaign of the coming shooter will move from one interesting location to another and gamers will be able to choose whether they want to take out enemies with overwhelming firepower or if they are more interested in using stealth to eliminate their targets.

Battlefield Hardline has benefited from its delay

The game was initially set to be launched in late 2014 as a direct competitor for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but a testing period generated some strong negative reactions from the community, which prompted Electronic Arts to announce a delay.

Recently, Visceral Games and the publisher ran an open beta and the feedback from the players has been much more positive.

Battlefield Hardline is not focused on single player and those who pick up the game will be able to engage in three entirely new multiplayer modes.

Despite the shift away from the military theme, the developers at Visceral Games have said that they want to have a dynamic and fun set of combat mechanics, which allow each player to find their preferred loadout and tackle the various objectives with a set of like-minded gamers.
