The update nerfs some weapons and fixes some bugs

Sledgehammer announced over the weekend that it has decided to prolong the Battlefield Hardline open beta for one more day. The main reason behind the developers' decision might be the fact that they needed more feedback from players that would lead to a number of bug fixes.

Well, it looks like the open beta was pretty successful since Sledgehammer took it even further and delivered a patch for Battlefield Hardline only a few hours before the game went offline.

According to the official changelog, the update contains some weapons and gadgets tuning as well as Nvidia Optimus support. Most of the changes included in the patch are based on players’ feedback, so they are surely more than welcome.

There's no telling if the adjustments in the update will be tested by players before the game gets released, since Sledgehammer and EA did not announce whether or not Battlefield Hardline will get another open beta by March 17.

If you're one of the players who can't wait for the game to be released, then here is what you can expect from changes implemented through the latest beta patch.

First of all, players who own an Nvidia Optimus video card inside their laptop PC should know that the patch includes updates targeted specifically at this video card.

None of the changes will take effect until the game gets released

When it comes to gadget tuning, developers have reduced the cooldown time of the med and ammo packs and increased the resupply time for Breaching Charges.

Last but not least, almost a dozen balance adjustments have been made to the weapons in game. You can find them all listed below:

- 870P Magnum effective range reduced; - M16 m416 damage lowered and increased recoil; - RO933 reduced recoil and reduced damage; - Uzi increased hip fire accuracy; - P90 increased spread; - Swapped M/45 and G36c to cops; - Swapped UMP and M416 to criminals; - Reduced effective range .338 magnum rounds; - Reduced 9mm damage Reduced 556x45mm damage (Assault rifles and SMGs); - Reduced Spas 12 damage; - Fixed bug with magnum round recoil where people were losing kills.

Keep in mind that Battlefield Hardline open beta has already ended, so even if you manage to download and update your game, you still won't be able to play it.

EA also confirms that, while this patch has been released during the open beta, the changes will only take effect once the game is launched on March 17/19.
