It seems that all those who are willing to attend a cinema viewing of the Sony press conference at E3 2014 will get the chance to win a code that will then allow them to be a part of the beta phase for the upcoming Battlefield Hardline on the PlayStation 4.

A number of those who are already set to go to the events have posted on the NeoGAF forums and are saying that when they confirmed their participation, they got an e-mail that contained a beta key, which is a pretty generous offer given that the event is free to attend for all those interested.

It’s unclear whether Sony is offering keys for the Battlefield Hardline beta to all those who want one or if there’s a behind the scenes selection process involved.

The information available so far says that the testing phase for the first-person shooter will include two entirely new game modes and that the included map is called High Tension.

The so-called Omaha Demo for Battlefield Hardline is the first opportunity that fans of the franchise will have to test the title and to offer their feedback to the development team at Visceral Games.

Publisher Electronic Arts confirmed the title after a full trailer for it leaked online and promised that it would offer more information during the coming E3 2014 event.

Sony will probably use its press conference in order to announce that those who are seeing it in cinemas will be able to take part in the beta stage of Battlefield Hardline.

It’s unclear whether a similar testing period will also be offered on the rival Xbox One from Microsoft at any point or if there are any plans to also bring it to the PC, the platform that makes it easier to implement changes and get feedback.

Battelfield Hardline is designed to compete with the new Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision and will arrive at some point in the fall of this year.

The game will focus on the drug war and the conflict between the various law enforcement agencies and the criminal cartels, which will determine the style of both single and multiplayer.

The development team says that it will use all new game modes and smaller maps in order to create a more dynamic set of gameplay mechanics that will be filled with tensions and explosive moments.
