14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts continue their information delivery effort that is designed to make sure that fans of the Battlefield series are prepared for the launch of Hardline, which is set for March 17 in the United States and for March 19 in Europe.
The focus is at the moment on the new modes that gamers will be able to experience in multiplayer, with Thad Sasser, the lead multiplayer designer, taking to the official site to deliver a look at the Heist mode and explain some of the best ways to approach it.
The experience has the criminal team trying to get into a secure vault location and steal valuables, packing them into two duffle bags in order to take them to two locations, while the cops are trying to make sure that the opposition runs out of either time or tickets to accomplish the job.
The development team says that players will need to prepare well for the Heist mode, carefully choosing classes, items and making sure that they work together with a focus on achieving objectives rather than on simply getting kills.
Alternate entry points and new strategies are important in all modes of Battlefield Hardline and gamers need to stay in constant contact in order to known the tactical situation, with the leader of the squad in charge of showing his teammates what they should be doing next.
Sasser adds, "Make sure you’ve got vantage points on as many of the objective locations as possible – and that you’re ready for surprises. If you get both bags out of the vault, don’t run them both to the same location! Divide and conquer – if they are racing to defend both points, your odds of getting at least one bag away go up substantially."
Battlefield Hardline strategies will develop more once the game launches
For all the new modes included in the shooter, like Heist and Hotwire, the moment when the number of strategies will start to crystallize is on launch.
Gamers will be able to see what each map and each experience has to offer and they will quickly find new ways to approach them and perhaps use glitches to get an advantage.
In the long term, it will be Visceral Games' job to patch the game problems and to continue to work on balance in order to make Battlefield Hardline a sales and critical success.
