Killing enemies is not the best route to victory

The open beta for Battlefield Hardline is now live and the team at Visceral Games wants to make sure that those involved have a clear idea about the best strategies they can employ, with a new set of tips and tricks designed to show the community a few tested strategies that can help them dominate in the shooter.

The studio says that the most important element in all battles is reaching the objective and that even kill-death ratios can be sacrificed as long as a team can achieve it, because the group is always more important than the individual.

The official Visceral Games post states, "Don't forget to Spot enemies. This helps you and your squad see enemy activity on the mini-map, and can be the difference between life and death."

Spawning on teammates is also encouraged, despite the risks, and the grapple hook is important not only because it opens up new ways to move around the map but also because it gives away positions if it is not properly deployed.

For the Hotwire mode, the developers emphasize the importance of a Mechanic with the Repair Tool, who can lead in points without actually taking out one enemy, and the way speed can be used to get ahead of enemies and surprise them.

Conquest is won through solid tactical thinking

The Conquest mode on the Dust Bowl map of Battlefield Hardline can be dominated by controlling the high ground at the ends of the map and by taking out choppers while using zip lines to move around quickly.

Visceral adds, "It’s always tempting to capture more Control Points in Conquest mode. However, if your team already has a majority of the Control Points, you should concentrate on defending them and not rushing towards the enemy's. Don’t spread your defenses too thin!"

For Heists, the studio says criminals should look for alternative entry points and try to stay clear of the cops for as long as possible.

The Battlefield Hardline beta runs until February 8 and will be used to tweak some aspects of the game experience.

The full launch will take place on March 17 in North America and two days later in Europe on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles.
