Battlefield Hardline is confirmed as being gold and set to be launched in less than three weeks, but the development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts have not yet offered too much information on the single-player story of the title and how they plan to make sure that gamers experience it before jumping into multiplayer.

The two companies are now delivering a new TV style presentation on the official site of the title, which offers images taken from each of the ten episodes that gamers will be able to explore and a short text description of the narrative.

The Prologue starts with, "Nick Mendoza is Miami Police Department’s newest. His first day In Vice with his new partner, Detective Stoddard, will prove to be rather challenging."

The descriptions are much less informative for the later episode, but they do point to a story where the main characters will have to deal with shadows from their past and with a vast network of corruption that affects law enforcement at the top level.

The development team at Visceral Games has already said that the single player of Battlefield Hardline was inspired by modern TV shows centered around criminals and policemen, with a focus on the emotions each of the characters can deliver.

The studio has not said how long it will take gamers to experience the ten episodes.

Battlefield Hardline will be offered on EA Access on March 12

The other big piece of news that was revealed today about the first-person shooter is that gamers will be able to play it starting on March 12, as long as they are members of the EA Access service on the Xbox One.

Fans can experience all the multiplayer modes and maps and a smaller number of multiplayer episodes for ten hours, and their progress will be transferred to the full version of the title when it arrives.

Gamers who have an EA Access subscription will also be able to buy Battlefield Hardline with a 10 percent price cut.

Electronic Arts has so far not said if it has plans to deliver the service on the PC, where it would complement Origin in interesting ways, and it seems that Sony does not want to introduce EA Access on the PlayStation 4.
