Players can re-sell everything they do not need

With Battlefield Hardline launched for about one week, the development team at Visceral Games and publisher Electronic Arts still have information they want to share with gamers and today the two companies are revealing the new ways the Battlepacks can be used to improve the game experience.

Those who bought the game already have some in their possession, with more coming according to a clear schedule, and they are designed to reward players for their performance and give them access to both cosmetic tweaks for their weapons and characters and to some gameplay boosts.

Battlepacks in Battlefield Hardline can be bought with money earned in the game, but this is not the only change Visceral Games has made after the feature was first introduced in Battlefield 4 and users commented on it.

All included items can be sold back to the game, even if for a relatively low price, in order to get the funds to acquire something else that's more useful.

The boosts introduced to Battlefield Hardline via Battlepacks are quite varied, allowing gamers to carefully choose how they want to develop their character.

The official site adds, "In order to give you some more options with your in-game progression, we’ve made the Battlepacks obtainable for in-game cash. This allows you to try for a few of those scopes you wanted in one shot rather than getting them individually. And on top of that, you may just get a nice bonus item in the process!"

Battlefield Hardline needs to keep gamers engaged in the long term

Visceral Games needs to make sure that its new shooter will be able to keep gamers interested in the long term, and that can only happen if they keep the community engaged.

This means that downloadable content is required, with four packs set to be launched over the course of a year, the first of which is called Criminal Activity and is set to focus on small jobs.

At the same time, the studio is saying that it is gathering data from matches in order to see exactly what changes are required when the first major patch is deployed on all platforms.

Battlepacks are also a good way of making sure that players continue to play Battlefield Hardline in order to get access to new rewards.
