Battlefield: Bad Company 2 players will be in for a major treat in the following weeks as not only will the game receive a new patch on the PC, but also a brand new downloadable map pack, in the form of the VIP Map Pack 7.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is being supported by its developer DICE, many months after its initial release, with new patches and content being released ever so often, even if the developer is now hard at work at the full pledged Battlefield 3 title and with the newly-released Battlefield Play4Free.

Now, players of Bad Company 2, either on the PC, PlayStation or Xbox 360, will get a new batch of downloadable content, in the form of the VIP Map Pack 7.

Included in this new DLC are remakes of two fan favorite maps from the first Bad Company, Oasis and Harvest Day, as well as two all-new ones Cold War and Heavy Metal, the last of which being the biggest map ever to be added to Bad Company 2.

Check out all of the details about the maps below.

Map 1: Oasis

Origin: Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer Game modes: Rush, Conquest, Squad Rush, Squad Deathmatch

Map 2: Harvest Day

Origin: Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer Game modes: Rush, Conquest, Squad Rush, Squad Deathmatch

Map 3: Cold War

As usual, the VIP Map Pack 7 will be available for free for PC owners and console VIP members.

All of the maps feature Bad Company's 2 Destruction 2.0 feature, meaning you can destroy pretty much anything you want on the map, and cause havoc with a variety of weapons and vehicles.

No concrete release date for VIP Map Pack 7 was revealed, but be sure that it will appear in the following weeks.

Besides this, DICE is also hard at work polishing up a brand new expansion to the game, entitled Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam.
