The development team at DICE announces that tomorrow, April 8, its own Battlefield 4 will get access to a new feature, called Loadout Presets, that's designed to allow gamers to customize the way they will go into battle.

In an official blog post, the studio explains that it is trying to make a way for gamers to create and save kit and vehicle setups, as detailed as players want, in order to be able to quickly and easily switch between them before going into a Battlefield 4 multiplayer match.

The company explains that, "With this time-saving feature, you no longer have to edit each slot individually in the Customize screen when you want to change your Loadout. Note that Loadout Presets will only be available on Battlelog in Battlefield 4, and not be reflected in-game. You apply Presets to your Loadout, which then follows you in-game when you save it."

DICE then runs through some of the kits that gamers can put together and explains how various items can be used in order to deal with different challenges during combat.

The Loadout Presets feature can be accessed using the Battlelog service for the shooter on all platforms, including mobile devices, with 2 presets offered for each kit and vehicle, a number that can be doubled by getting access to a Premium subscription.

Gamers can tweak them at will although it is not yet clear whether there's any way to share one with another player.

After the feature launches, the development team at DICE wants gamers to comment on its core functionality.

The studio adds, "We will continue to tweak and add functions to the feature, based on your feedback and comments. Don’t hesitate to tell us what you think about the Loadout Presets, and we hope you will enjoy going into battle using the feature!"

The new feature will probably make life a lot easier for dedicated gamers who need time and effort in order to get through all the specialized setups that they use in Battlefield 4.

The development team at DICE needs to continue to deliver new features to its shooter in order to keep it relevant in the long term and the community certainly appreciates all ideas that can help it save time between matches.

At the same time, the company and publisher Electronic Arts are working on at least two other downloadable content packs for the game, which are set to add more maps and modes.
