They hope to get DICE's attention and make BF4 better

In less than 24 hours, more than 130 Battlefield 4 will be closed in protest of developer's DICE attitude towards communication with admins and few other problems that haven't been solved since the release of the game.

“WeAreBattlefield” is a gaming organization comprising Battlefield 4 clans and server hosts. They have decided to protest against game developer DICE by closing their servers on January 3 at 12.00 UTC.

The main reasons the organization has decided to take such actions against DICE is the faulty communication between the developer and the community.

Here are some of the most important problems reported by WeAreBattlefield which, hopefully, will be addressed in the not-so-distant future:

- Admins are unhappy about changes; - Admins use the CTE forums to communicate issues but are being ignored; - Dices politic regarding ranked servers; - Hidden patches and usually without warning; - Patchnotes arriving too late; - No consistency in running servers; - Too many restrictions in server presets (e.g. idle timeout, max. vehicle spawn delay, etc.); - Not enough control about amounts of vehicles that spawn or classes/weapons to use; - Splitting up the community with premium; - Official preset not administered; - No admin-only spectator; - The fight against cheater (why does every client get all data?).

Protesters hope to achieve at least some of their requests

Obviously, not all of these requests will be addressed soon, but protesters hope to get DICE's attention and solve at least some of these issues.

One thing that WeAreBattlefield hopes to achieve with this protest is better in-time communication from DICE to admins. Another important achievement would be for DICE to open a communication channel with admins, which will be listened to.

Preventing hidden patches from deceiving admins is another goal of this protest that WeAreBattlefield organization decided to carry on on January 3. It will be interesting to see how DICE will react to such a protest, so stay tuned for more details on the matter.
