The development team at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they will launch the Dragon's Teeth expansion for Battlefield 4 on July 15 of this year for those who are subscribers to the Premium service for the game.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the Origin digital distribution service, which urges gamers to take advantage of a special offer for the package, saying that it includes access to all the content that was and will be launched for the first-person shooter.

Given the traditional launch pattern for downloadable content packages for Battlefield 4, the July 15 launch date for Premium subscribers means that the general players population will get access to it on July 29.

Gamers who decide to get the pack will receive access to four new maps, called Lumpini Garden, Pearl Market, Propaganda, and Sunken Dragon, all of them designed with some innovative Levolution features.

Fans can also use a number of new weapons, including a powerful ballistic shield that the community has been asking for since Battlefield 4 was first launched.

A new Chain Link game mode is also introduced to the first-person shooter and is designed to appeal to those players who like to create solid plans and then execute them as part of a solid team.

This is the penultimate DLC package that will be offered for Battlefield 4, and DICE has said that the last one, called Final Stand, will also arrive before the end of summer.

The development team is also currently working with the community and using the new test environment to test changes to the core gameplay and the user interface, all of them designed to significantly improve the multiplayer experience.

Battlefield 4 was affected by a number of technical issues on launch, but the studio has pledged that it will continue to support it with new content and tweaks in the long term in order to keep the community satisfied.

Visceral Games and Electronic Arts are at the moment working on a new Battlefield spin-off, called Hardline, which is set to arrive on October 28 of this year on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, and current-gen consoles.

The title will focus on the long-term conflict between criminal cartels and law enforcement agencies, with a faster gameplay and more dynamic multiplayer modes.
