Battleborn, the upcoming first-person multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title from Gearbox Software, has just received some more details about another one of its main characters, this time in the form of Montana, a hulking man that uses a Gatling gun to take care of foes.

There are quite a lot of new MOBA titles flooding the market nowadays, looking to steal at least some of the profits from behemoths like Dota 2 or League of Legends.

Battleborn from Gearbox Software, however, wants to introduce a few new things to the core recipe and turn the MOBA experience into a first-person one.

Details about Thorn, the agile, bow-wielding elf-like creature already appeared last week and now GameInformer magazine shares some fresh info about Montana, one of the main members of the Peacekeepers faction.

While Montana is certainly a hulking giant armed with a fierce Gatling gun, it seems that his disposition is quite cheerful. What's more, while he does have a big body, he also has a small head, which makes dealing critical headshots quite tricky.

In terms of pure gameplay, Montana is quite similar to Heavy from Team Fortress 2, as his Gatling gun can be spun up and used to decimate waves of enemies. However, the weapon is also prone to overheating if you keep firing for too long.

Montana has three regular abilities and one ultimate. The first is lumberjack dash, which causes the regularly slow character to speed up in a straight line towards an enemy, knocking him or her down and dealing damage.

Hailstorm is another interesting ability for the character, as it loads up alternate ammunition into Montana's gun, causing it to slow down enemies and increase the time the gun can be fired until it overheats.

Mo Heat, Mo Damage is an outlandish passive skill that regulates the overheating gun and can offer health regeneration and extra damage, depending on the situation.

Last but not least, there's Montana's ultimate ability called Mansformation. This allows him to jump across the map at a target, knocking it back and injuring enemies in an area of effect. It also causes Montana's skin to turn into metal, thereby reducing the damage he takes.

While the new character may seem slow in the early game, it seems that Montana is definitely a great pick for those who prefer a damage-dealing character and have great support allies around them to provide other benefits.
