Gamers will have to work hard to access them

Batman: Arkham Knight might have been delayed too many times for the liking of most video game fans, but it seems that the extra time has allowed the development team at Rocksteady to introduce a range of extra content that the player base will appreciate.

A new inside video from the studio, filmed on the floor of the MCM Comic Con, features an opening created by actor John Noble, who plays Scarecrow in the coming experience.

But the most interesting element comes later in the footage when Sefton Hill, the game director for Batman: Arkham Knight, explains that his team has created a solid New Game Plus mode, which is designed to both reward and challenge players who manage to get to the end of the story.

Gamers will keep their experience, their upgrades and their unlocked gadgets and will have a chance to use them in order to take out much tougher enemies.

Sefton Hill also claims that Batman: Arkham Knight will have more secrets than the first two titles in the series created by Rocksteady had in total and fans will have to work hard to find all of them.

The game director has not said whether they will be linked to various characters in the Batman universe or if the studio is delivering more generic ones.

Batman: Arkham Knight is the last of the current series

Rocksteady has already made it clear that it has no plans to continue working on the comic book-based video game franchise after the current installment is launched.

For Batman: Arkham Knight, the development team has worked directly with DC Comics to create an entirely new villain that is worthy of the attention of The Dark Knight.

The Batmobile is one of the victories of the new Rocksteady-made experience, and Batman himself will have a new range of moves and gadgets that he can call upon to deal with his enemies.

DLC for the coming video game will introduce more missions and costumes, but also a prequel that allows players to become the Batgirl.

Batman: Arkham Knight will be out on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PC on June 23.
