It's unclear what changes are being made

It seems that the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight will have an official novelization attached, which is designed to be mostly based on the narrative created by Rocksteady and is written by Marv Wolfman, who is known for working on a lot of comic books during his career.

The announcement was made on the official Facebook page of the writer but it has since been removed, probably because a bigger reveal is set to be delivered latter by the team at Warner Bros. that is in charge of the franchise.

The writer states, “I wrote the official novelization for Arkham Knight, based on the upcoming video game, and had a ball doing it. The story is highly emotional and I'm exceedingly happy with the results. Both game and book come out in July. I'll post the cover here once it's official. Anyway, whew, it feels great finally being able to talk about it.”

The problem with the post, and what might have led to its deletion, is the mention that Batman: Arkham Knight is set to arrive in July, when the official date is at the moment June 2.

Warner Bros. says that no new delay is planned, so the writer is probably just talking about the date for his novel and not that of the video game.

Marv Wolfman has written comic books for both DC Universe and Marvel and he states that more of his characters have been adapted into other mediums than for any other creator in his field, except for Stan Lee.

Arkham Knight is the end of the current Batman saga

Rocksteady says that this is the final title that will use the current incarnation of the character and that it plans to tie up all loose ends introduced in the stories of previous installments.

The main character will have to deal with the threat posed by both Scarecrow and a mysterious newcomer called the Arkham Knight, who uses advanced tech and is helped by a solid mercenary force.

In order to take them out, Batman will have access to new combat moves and new gadgets, and for the first time in the series, he is also able to use the Batmobile, which can be employed to help him during combat or to allow him to explore new areas of the world.

Arkham Knight will be offered on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC.
