A regular bath requires a significant quantity of water that goes down the drain in a matter of minutes. A British company is trying to minimize the loss, by letting our garden plants absorb the water resources we no longer need.

Their drainage water valves called Water Two develop an entire cost-effective water circuit that will trigger important savings once implemented in every British household. The water used to fill the bath tub will just be redirected to the flowers and plants in the backyard, according to PaperBlog.

The ingenious UK-based company is trying to make sure we exploit the entire potential of our household's water supply. Nowadays, nothing is free, not even a drop of water, so redirecting resources is always a more profitable option than just throwing out what we tend to consider useless.

The device is simply attached to the pipe network from the bath and its owners have to leave the plug in while they are taking a bath. This way, a significant quantity of water makes gardens bloom at no extra costs.

The company says owners have to make sure the water is suitable for recycling. Once they fill their bathtub with foam and shower gel they might as well forget about watering their plants. "Recycle suitable domestic waste water such as bath, shower and laundry water on established plants, but not water that is loaded with detergents," state representatives from the enterprise.

Owners have to go outside and turn the smart Water Two valve, in order to divert the resource and make it reach the plants' roots. Once the plug is removed, a garden hose will help owners do the rest. If spraying the garden is not on the list of daily chores, a rainwater collector will do the trick, storing the water for later usage.

Experts also point to other ingenious, easy-to-follow steps towards water preservations like taking showers instead of baths, dealing with water leaks around the house and investing more in efficient shower heads. The Water Two concept proves it is far more efficient than all these ideas put together.

Some might not like being told to stop taking baths daily, however, they should know that a shower requires half of the amount of water that goes into taking a bath. 40 liters compared to 80 means important savings. Their concern is justified since a bathtub uses up to 30% of a home's water supply with no other benefits than that of making one of its inhabitants clean and relaxed.

Experts' opinion might suffer a few changes on this topic, thanks to the innovative Water Two valve, which can solve the issue of watering the garden while recycling graywater.
