A baseball aficionado managed to catch a ball launched from a helicopter, from the impressive altitude of 1,200 feet (365 meters).

Zack Hample achieved the incredible catch in Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Examiner writes that this is not his first attempt, giving it a first go at LeLacheur. High winds made the ball impossible to catch and the location was changed.

On Saturday, July 13, he caught a ball traveling at approximately 95 mph (43 kph). He feared getting injured, as the last person trying to break the record in 1939 ended up with a broken jaw and missing teeth.

"My biggest fear going into this was probably breaking my hand or my wrist or finger," he recalls.

His record will not be featured in the Guinness Book of World Record as they have refused to attend the event, in light of how dangerous the stunt is.
