Whether you hate them or you love them, the Kardashians are not going anywhere. Even though they're now considered one of the most hated families in showbiz, they still managed to land a spot on Barbara Walters' annual 10 Most Fascinating People list.

The video below is the segment dedicated to the reality family, as shown on ABC.

After telling audiences at home how the Kardashians have come to be considered “reality royalty” both in terms of ratings and of popularity, Barbara gets down to business and grills Kim about the one thing to which she owes her fame and fortune.

It must be common knowledge by now that, before Kim shot to international fame, she was mostly known as Paris Hilton's sidekick and BFF.

Her sisters Kourtney and Khloe were running a fashion boutique but were otherwise not involved in showbiz.

Then came the “leak” of a certain homemade tape Kim shot with her then-boyfriend Ray-J – and the entire Kardashian family became a household name.

Grilled about the tape, Kim stuttered and, for once, seemed completely taken by surprise.

“Whatever you do, you might think...” Kim said when asked whether making the tape was a good idea. She's clearly thrown off balance.

“I've made mistakes in my life for sure,” she adds, regaining her composure.

However, Walters doesn't stop here: she wants to prove a point to audiences, and that point is that the Kardashians are rich, famous and popular even though they practically have zero talent.

“You don't really act; you don't sing; you don't dance. You don't have any – forgive me – any talent!” Barbara tells them, as another moment of awkward silence begins.

“We're still entertaining people,” Khloe says.

“I think it's more of a challenge for you to go on a reality show, and get people to fall in love with you for being you,” Kim chimes in, trying to underline that what they do is also work, perhaps even harder than the job of a real actor.

“None of us think we have talent. none of us think we can sing or act or dance,” Khloe adds.
