Not many people know this, but there is a place in this world where folks can spin cotton while enjoying their favorite cocktail, wine or beer.

This place is a bar that goes by the name of the Tokyo Cotton Village and that opened quite a while back, in November 2012. It is located in Japan's capital city, and by the looks of it, it is quite popular.

The bar's owner, Takuya Tomizawa, claims that he got the idea to open this establishment some time ago when, while working in the cotton industry, he realized that spinning cotton made him hungry and thirsty.

The man says that the people who visit his bar can spin cotton for free, just as long as they order a drink first. He adds that, although troublesome, the activity is actually quite relaxing.

Thus, he argues that, although spinning cotton does indeed make people hungry and thirsty, the fact of the matter is that this hobby also helps them clear their head and get in a good mood.

Hence the fact that some people take the time to visit the Tokyo Cotton Village bar in Japan's capital city several times a week, Oddity Central informs.

“Getting absorbed in [spinning threads] lets me forget bad things that happened at work,” 32-year-old Yoshiko Jimura said in an interview. Furthermore, “This is a precious time for me to change my mood.”

The cotton that the people who visit this bar spin when looking to relax comes from a local field and is grown by Takuya Tomizawa himself.
