Rare says it won't look into the matter

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts And Bolts, one of the most anticipated titles for the Xbox 360 in the field of casual gaming, is the fifth in the Banjo Kazooie series, which started in 1998 as a Nintendo 64 game. It is also the first title that won’t be coming to a Japanese console, being an Xbox exclusive.

The demo of the game has recently appeared on the Xbox Live Marketplace and has already been downloaded quite a few times. Along with these downloads, users reported that the text of the game, while readable on big HD TVs, couldn’t be understood if you had a regular CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) TV. While this is a serious problem that can definitely ruin the gaming experience of a regular customer, Rare, the studio behind the franchise, said that the issue would probably go unsolved as it required a lot of effort.

George Kelion, the community manager of Rare, expressed his worries towards the players, but also stated that the problem would remain unfixed, as the patching process required a lot of resources and time, which the company didn’t really have.

"Unfortunately, this is an issue that doesn't look like it will get changed. I don't want to bore you with the technical side of things (I really don't understand it all myself), but the long and the short of it is that the text you see in the demo will be the same as that which you find in the retail version of the game. I'm sorry that we weren't able to address this issue as nothing would please us more than turning all your complaints into gleeful responses, but it's simply something that's too expensive in terms of time, resources and money to alter," said Kelion.

This is definitely very sad news. If the problem was only on the demo, then users might forgive the company, but to hear that even the retail version of the game will have the same glitch is definitely something that customers won’t appreciate.
