A VW gets parked with the help of a balloon tied to the car

A video posted on YouTube all the way back in January of last year is just now peaking after being picked up by several media outlets.

It teaches us how to park in reverse without hitting something, even with blind spots. The guys in the clip tied an inflated balloon to the back spoiler of an older model VW.

As they get near a whole and the driver has to figure out how close he can get, he simply puts the car in reverse until he hears the balloon popping.

The system is cheap, easy to find and easier to implement, but it can get pesky if you do a lot of parking like that, as it requires changing the balloon all the time.
