This past Saturday, a baby raccoon in Matheson Hammock, Florida came dangerously close to finding out what the deal with the light at the end of the tunnel is after it got its head stuck in a jar and nearly suffocated.

Luckily, it was rescued at the very last minute by a local firefighter. The latter arrived at the scene after Local 10 news reporters saw the animal and called 911.

Daily Mail tells us that, after conducting a thorough investigation, local authorities concluded that the baby raccoon was by no means trying to commit suicide because it had watched a certain musician's VMAs performance and felt that there simply was no other way to erase those images from its head.

On the contrary, it merely tried to eat some leftovers, and failed to think things through before diving head-first in the jar.

Almost immediately after it was rescued, the baby raccoon made a run for it. One can only hope that it has learned its lesson, and that it will from now on keep away from jars and other tight spaces.
