Following the implement of the in-car Google Maps access made by the Mountain View company especially for the German users, Google improved the technology and is now making it available for the entire Europe. Basically, this solution helps you choose the best route to reach your destination by selecting it on your PC and then send it to your in-car navigation system. According to Thomas Wuertele, BMW ConnectedDrive & Jeff Zabel, BMW Technology Office USA, the product is now compatible with Google Maps Italia and Google Maps UK. The best thing about it is that you're no longer required to write down the route on a piece of paper since the car's computer receives the information instantly.

"Google Maps Send to Car is a convenient way to send locations in advance, but what about when you want to find a business on the road? Google and BMW are the first to launch an in-car Google Local Search available within BMW Online Germany. Looking for a gas station, a museum or a nearby sushi spot?" the two experts said.

"This service gives you access to all the information from Google Maps while you enjoy your drive. Just search online using Google Maps and transfer the address to your navigation system, or call the contact with one click. It's that easy."

Google seems to become more interested in partnerships with the car producers, BMW being one of the leaders when it comes to this side of the industry. However, in the past, Google also worked with Volkswagen when it provided a search technology for its official website but this is something else.
