14 DAY TRIAL // US-based OEM BLU Products has just announced two new Android smartphones have just been put on pre-order in the United States via Amazon.
The BLU Life One (2015 Edition) and BLU Life 8 XL are now available for pre-order exclusively via Amazon for only $99 and $79, respectively.
According to BLU, these smartphones have been discounted and offered for the prices mentioned earlier for a limited (June 10 – 19 and June 22 – 30). After that, the BLU Life One (2015 Edition) and BLU Life 8 XL will be available for $149 and $129, respectively.
Moving on to actual specs, the BLU Life One (2015 Edition) is the most expensive of the two and comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.
They ship with KitKat, but will be upgraded to Lollipop
The smartphone ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right out of the box, but BLU promises that an Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade will be available at some point.
On the inside, the Life One (2015) is equipped with a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, which is complemented by a Mali-450 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.
It also packs 8GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB), 13-megapixel camera with Sony IMX135 sensors, as well as 5-megapixel front-facing photo snapper.
The smartphone comes with LTE and dual-SIM support, and it's powered by a non-removable 2,820 mAh battery.
The second BLU device that will go on pre-order beginning June 22, the Life 8 XL has similar specs with some exceptions such as display, processor, camera and battery.
BLU Life 8 XL sports a larger 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that supports HD (720p) resolution, a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor and a Mali-450 GPU.
It also comes with an 8-megapixel camera in the back, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a removable 2,920 mAh battery.
Just like the previous BLU smartphone, the Life 8 XL will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat right out of the box, but it will receive a Lollipop update in the future.
