Nicki Minaj performs at the BET Awards 2014, wins Best Female Hip Hop Artist

Nicki Minaj won her fifth consecutive Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards 2014 and she marked this special event with a truly memorable performance, of her newest single “Pills N Potions.” You can see it in the video embedded below.

For the live performance, Nicki recreated the Alice in Wonderland theme from the official video, complete with the Mad Hatter (one of her backup singers), a rabbit, and colorful mushrooms. There was no The Game up there with her like in the video, but there was a gorgeous ballerina dancing in a sparkly, skin-colored suit.

Meanwhile, Nicki was looking dangerously hot in a leather and lace combo that emphasized her famous curves. Check out the video below and pay attention to how the crowd reacts when she turns her back to the audience. It’s to die for.

So Nicki won Best Female Hip Hop Artist again, and her acceptance speech was all about remembering where she came from and who helped her get here. She also noted that she was thrilled to “represent women in a culture that is so male-driven” and how proud she was to write her own lyrics, which is not something many of today’s artists can boast of.

A low-quality video of her acceptance speech is embedded right under the one with the performance.
