BBK Communication Equipment Corp, a Chinese company that manufactures mobile phones (among other things), unveiled the upcoming release of two new handsets: K320 and K300.

[admark=1]BBK K320 is a mid-end candybar that comes with a simple look and weighs 98 grams. The phone works only on the 900 and 1800 MHz GSM frequencies and doesn't feature EDGE or 3G, hence data transfers will have to rely only on GPRS.

The other features packed in K320 include: a QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels) with 360K colors, MP3 player, FM radio, a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording, WAP 2.0 browser, 3D games, Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP, USB, 128MB of internal memory, microSD card support for up to 4GB and an 800 mAh battery capable of providing up to 3 hours in talk-time mode and up to 170 hours in stand-by mode.

Like the K320 model, BBK K300 is also a candybar that brings almost the same features. Thus, the K300 offers dual-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz) with GPRS, a 240 x 320 pixel display with 260K colors, Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP, MP3 player, WAP 2.0 browser, USB, 128MB of internal memory and microSD card support for only 2GB. K300 has a photo camera too, but it's only a VGA one. The handset weighs 92 grams and includes a battery similar to the one packed in K320, hence capable of providing a maximum of 3 hours in talk-time mode or 170 hours in stand-by mode.

BBK mainly commercializes its handsets in Asia, Eastern Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East and Africa, hence the K320 and K300 will probably be available in all of these markets.

For the moment, there's no word on the retail prices of the new BBK handsets, but it's said that they will be on sale starting the second half of this month (July).
