Organizations that have in-house security analysts should take a look at CyberReveal, an analytics and investigation product launched by BAE Systems Detica today.

The new solution gives companies the intelligence that’s needed to protect sensitive information against cybercriminals. CyberReveal can be used by any organization, regardless of its size.

The product is capable of processing billions of data records, collected from hundreds of thousands of devices, each day. This information can be used by analysts to determine what security events could have the biggest impact, and allows them to monitor their networks for cyberattacks.

The best part is that the attacks are detected based on behavior, not on signatures.

CyberReveal consists of three main components: Platform, Analytics and Investigator.

The technology platform analyzes the acquired data to identify high-priority security events, while the analytics component detects threats by using Detica’s research and unique attack models.

The investigator component consists of powerful investigation tools that provide visualization of prioritized alerts.

“Commercial organisations are growing ever more concerned about securing their most valuable assets – the larger the organisation, the greater the number of avenues for cyber attackers to exploit,” Martin Sutherland, managing director of BAE Systems Detica, noted.

“CyberReveal addresses four key areas where traditional approaches are proving ineffective against the modern cyber threat – helping analysts to prioritise the incidents they investigate, managing huge data volumes, evolving their defences in line with a rapidly changing threat environment, and enabling quicker, more informed decision making,” he added.

“CyberReveal provides a unique ‘single pane of glass’ for analysts by linking security event data information from across the entire organisation. It can show them where they need to focus their attention and piece together disparate data to give them the big picture – critical to defending against the most advanced and insidious cyber threats.”
