Axxen might sound pretty unfamiliar to most of the electronics costumers out there. The Korean company has recently launched a brand new portable media player, which they immediately dubbed Pleigo X3.

As it has been reported, the most important feature in the player's technical specification list is its incredible lightweight of just about 25 grams with the battery included. Which means it is a light device that can also do a bunch of stuff. It looks shiny, slim and very compact, reminding me of a Zippo lighter.

Regarding its design line, the Pleigo X3 reveals a nice OLED display screen with 65 thousands colors. As for its internal capabilities, it can deal with a lot of file formats on the market, such as MPEG 1/2/3, ASF, JPEG, AVI and WMA. The player's sound performance can be customized using one of the integrated 5 equalizer modes. Therefore, it plays music, videos and photo slide shows.

Besides all these, the player also has an integrated microphone to perform some recordings and a battery life that would make a lot of PMP makers really jealous, since it can juice up the PMP for about 8 hours of continuous playback mode. To cover the masses, Axxen has packed the PMP with various storage capacities, of 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB.

In addition, the player is said to feature an USB port. Apart from playing audio files, it also allows the users to store some pictures on the device.

A year ago, Axxen launched the i-egg Dap speakers, which could also transform themselves into cute PC speakers. If you're wondering about the pricing and availability details of the new X3, Axxen is said to launch the Pleigo X3 on November 1st 2007 in two colors: black and white. Is that for ying and yang?
