However, she wore traditional white for the party before the wedding to Chad Kroeger

Singer Avril Lavigne married singer Chad Kroeger in the South of France in a very untraditional wedding ceremony that included an all-black bridal dress and bridal bouquet with black roses. The first official wedding photo is now out.

You can see it attached to this article.

As you can see, the bride did not forgo her goth makeup and usual hairstyle. She did, however, count on her all-black bridal outfit to make her a very unusual bride, especially as it also included a gorgeous bouquet of black roses.

The groom, of course, also wore black.

Us Weekly has more details on the exquisite gown and a blurry photo from the reception.

“The ‘Complicated’ singer, 28, rocked a bejeweled flower headpiece in her long blonde hair to complement her strapless black Monique Lhullier gown (90210 star Shenae Grimes also wore a black Vera Wang gown for her May nuptials). Kroeger, 38, wore a black tuxedo over a black shirt and vest in true rocker form,” the e-zine says.

According to the report, the bride and groom exchanged vows at the Chateau La Napoule in Mandelieu, France, where the reception also took place.

There was lots of champagne, a gorgeous fireworks display later and, of course, delicious culinary treats for the guests.

An insider describes the reception as a “wild, all-night party with drinking, dancing, incredible food and lots of laughter and tears of happiness.”

Even though Avril was a very unconventional bride (which was somewhat to be expected of her, as her fans must know), she did wear white over the wedding weekend, as photos posted at the Daily Mail can confirm.

At the party before the actual wedding, the singer rocked what looked very much like a bridal gown, complete with a long trail and a matching white headpiece (though not a veil).

More photos from the wedding are expected to emerge online in a few days, so keep an eye on this space.
