“Avengers: Age of Ultron” isn’t even out in theaters worldwide, but Marvel is already setting the wheels in motion for the next installments in its highly successful comic book-based cinematic universe: the third “Captain America” film and the final two “Avengers” film.

Speaking of the latter in an interview with Esquire, Chris Evans, who stars as the Cap, reveals that Marvel will be shooting them back to back.

In other words, he has a very busy schedule coming up: after he’s done with the press tour for “Age of Ultron,” he will start working on “Captain America: Civil War” until August or September.

“Then I’ve got some downtime and I can do with it as I please,” he says. Then, in the third quarter of 2016, he and the other Avengers will be back on set for “Avengers: Infinity War Part I” and then “Part II,” because Marvel has decided to shoot them back to back.

They will, however, be released within a year of each other: “Part I” comes out in 2018 and “Part II,” the final film in the “Avengers” franchise, will drop in May 2019.

Rumor has it that, in these two, the Avengers lineup will be different from what we’ve seen so far, “Age of Ultron” included. The films will certainly mark a departure from what we’ve seen, because Joss Whedon, who directed the first two installments, has decided not to return.

“Infinity War” will both be helmed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, off a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
