Phoronix Media, through Michael Larabel, announced earlier the immediate availability for download of Phoronix Test Suite 2.8.1, the best Linux-based benchmarking and testing platform for software and hardware validation.

Today, September 9th, Michael Larabel proudly introduced the first maintenance release of Phoronix Test Suite 2.8.0 (Torsken), which brings a couple of bugfixes. He also announced the codename and goals for the next major version of the Phoronix Test Suite!
